During the month of May, the following areas of maintenance have
been carried out:
·Tee levelling. The following tee platforms have been levelled: black
on the 5th, yellow and white on the 9th, yellow on the 12th and white
on the 15th.
·Platform next to putting green. An area has been levelled
between the 10th tee and putting green which will provide support for
future events.
·Extension of the tee line. The new turf will be installed the week of
the putting green.
·The practice fairway has been modified, directing it more to the
left, its original direction.
·A new target green with bunker has been created, which will give
more distance.

Construction of new fairways to support the Aramco tournament and
improve short game facilities will commence shortly.
The following tasks will be carried out during the June pinning:
·The greens will be verticut, aerated and bunkered to recover
infiltration which will help us to maintain high speed and firmness. The
greens will be fertilised with organic fertilisers, improving the
microbiology of the soil and reducing the use of phytosanitary products.
·The fairways and tees will be verticut, aerated and re-sodded. In
one week, we want to add about 700 tonnes to the profile of the
fairways. It will help us to have firmer fairways that will better
withstand the rainy season.
·We will continue to rejuvenate the sand, removing the part that is
in the worst condition and adding new sand. An important task will be
to check the thickness of the sand in each bunker.
Closure for maintenance
As we mentioned in the May Newsletter, the course will be closed for maintenance from the 6th to the 19th of June (both inclusive).
During this period, you will be able to play at Almenara Golf with your guests, prior reservation. The green fee for members will be complimentary
(buggy included), and the rate for guests will be 85€ (buggy included).

The practice fairway will be open from 08:00 to 19:00h, except from 9th to 12th June when it will also be closed for maintenance. Practice balls will be
included.

your disposal.
