With less than 45 days until the La Reserva de Sotogrande Invitational begins, we are doing our best to offer an unforgettable experience for everyone at this Ladies European Tour event we will host from the 16th to 19th of May at La Reserva Club de Sotogrande!
Once again, charity will be at the heart of one of our events and this time we will work closely with the Marbella office of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), a non-profit organisation that spearheads the Spanish society’s effort to reduce the impact caused by cancer.
The AECC will receive the money collected by various fundraising initiatives taking place during the tournament. Furthermore, the colour pink, which symbolizes the fight against breast cancer, will feature prominently at La Reserva de Sotogrande during the event and will reach golf fans around the world thanks to our extensive international television coverage.
A number of fundraising initiatives will take place, including a welcome party that will feature a raffle with all proceeds going to the AECC. The following day, amateur players will have the opportunity to donate to the AECC when receiving their welcome packs or while testing their ability in five special competitions during the Pro-Am.
Spectators can also collaborate with the AECC. All attendees must sign up first on the tournament website (https://www.lareservadesotograndeinvitational.com/ ) and acquire an electronic ticket, but they will get back the ticket price as soon as they make a purchase at the club store. 30% of the total amount spent in the store will go directly to the AECC, as well as part of the money spent on the golf club restaurant services.
Options are diverse, but there is only one goal: to help the AECC, an association that has worked on 334 research projects related to cancer in different stages, from prevention to metastasis, in which they have spent 56 million euros since 2011.
