We were delighted to welcome the team from the legendary restaurant Paul Bocuse in France once again in October to prepare another very special meal for our discerning diners. As part of our programme of events during the Andalucía Valderrama Masters, Executive Chef Christophe Muller and the son of the restaurant’s founder Jerome Bocuse worked alongside our talented team of chefs at L’Olive restaurant to create a feast of French delights.
The lucky diners were able to enjoy a seven-course menu of extraordinary French cooking from the team from this legendary restaurant.
They were wowed by dishes such as Smoked Salmon Confit with Caviar, a Breton Lobster Casserole and Bresse chicken with cream sauce and morels. Dessert began with a wonderful cheese board from La Mère Richard, who offer some of Lyon’s best cheeses. The final course was a President chocolate cake, dedicated to master chocolatier Maurice Bernachon, who invented the cake in 1975 to celebrate Paul Bocuse being admitted into the French League of Honour. This cake made him famous and as a tribute to Paul Bocuse, it was a fitting end to an incredible meal. This amazing menu was paired with fine wines to complement the flavour profiles of each dish. Diners agreed that it was a gastronomic experience never to be forgotten.
We were honoured to have Paul Bocuse’s son, Jerome Bocuse, with us this October. Jerome is involved in continuing his father’s legacy with the World Chef Championship Bocuse d’Or, as well as promoting French cuisine around the world and running Les Chefs de France in Florida.
Executive Chef Christophe Muller is an award-winning French chef, from the Alsace region. He heads up Restaurante Paul Bocuse in Lyon and is responsible for maintaining its very high standards and the 3 Michelin stars which it has held for an unprecedented 50 years. He is known for his precision and innovative methods and his passion for travelling the world, allowing diners to enjoy exceptional French cuisine wherever they are.
