The Mediterranean’s Most Refined Beach Experience

This summer, The Beach presents its much-anticipated Après Beach programme — a curated series of sunset events featuring live DJs and signature tapas, open-air Cinema Nights, and live music performances. All of this takes place in a luxurious, nature-filled setting that reinforces Sotogrande’s position as the most exclusive and vibrant destination on the Mediterranean coast.

Meanwhile, its restaurant, ANCALA, pays homage to the flavours of Andalucía with a contemporary twist and Nikkei influences. This unique culinary concept can be enjoyed without needing to book a lounger or sunbathe — yes, you’re welcome to come just to dine. ANCALA also has a separate entrance, making it accessible to all who wish to indulge in its exquisite gastronomic offering in a truly spectacular setting.

Après Beach: Sotogrande’s golden hour gathering
On July 11 & 25 and August 6 & 21, The Beach becomes the go-to destination for unforgettable summer sunsets. The Après Beach series blends DJ sets with perfectly timed golden hours and a refined selection of Mediterranean & Nikkei-inspired tapas designed by chef Alberto Sarmiento.
Access is open and free — no sunbed reservation required — allowing guests to fully enjoy this elevated social and culinary experience at Sotogrande’s private beach in the hills.

Cinema under the stars
The Beach’s summer calendar also brings back the ever-popular Cinema Nights — a magical outdoor movie experience in an unparalleled setting. Screenings will take place on July 5 and August 6 at 9:30 PM, at The Beach, La Reserva Club.
Admission is free (subject to availability) with a prior reservation at the ANCALA restaurant or for a sunbed. It’s a unique opportunity to enjoy a curated selection of all-time family favourites under the stars — complete with popcorn and a special themed menu created just for these movie nights.

Flamenco Dinner Show with dancer José Franco
On August 14, The Beach will host a very special evening: a dinner paired with an authentic flamenco show by acclaimed dancer José Franco. With a career spanning prestigious companies such as those of Sara Baras, Aída Gómez, Carmen Mota, the Rafael Aguilar Ballet, and the Ballet Flamenco de Madrid, Franco has also performed with the Andalusian Dance Centre and the Spanish National Ballet’s studio.
Currently co-director and flamenco teacher at Taller del Arte Espacio Creativo in Estepona (Málaga), he also leads several original productions.
On this unique night, song, dance, and guitar will come together for a pure, visceral Andalusian performance. Leading up to this celebration, an exclusive flamenco workshop with the artist himself will also be held — open to those wishing to immerse themselves in the essence of flamenco in a stunning natural setting.

ANCALA: A welcoming space with the soul of a Mediterranean cove
Located in a privileged natural setting, ANCALA offers a refined gastronomic experience led by executive chef Alberto Sarmiento. The name — a blend of “Anca” (Gaditano for “house of”) and “Cala” (cove) — reflects its philosophy: honest, local, and surprising cuisine served in a welcoming space with the charm of a Mediterranean cove. All without losing the distinctive essence of Sotogrande: privacy, elegance, security, and discretion.

The concept is built around the motto “Andalusian Flavours with a Twist”, a fresh take on Andalusian cuisine that includes Nikkei notes and a carefully curated selection of rice dishes.
Highlights include: chargrilled aubergine and bimi, Nikkei scallop tacos, crispy tenderloin tataki nigiris, dry-aged Rubia Gallega steak, and rice dishes like black rice with roasted flowering octopus or red tuna tenderloin rice from Almadraba.
The experience is completed with a creative dessert menu and innovative cocktails such as the Strawberry Sake, Passionfruit Mango Chilcano, and Rita de Yuzu.

The Beach: 2,800 m² of fine sand and a sports lagoon in Sotogrande
The Beach at La Reserva Club brings together the spirit of a Mediterranean cove with the elegance and privacy that define Sotogrande. With 2,800 m² of fine sand, a sports lagoon, pools, Kids Club, and a full range of leisure and wellness options, it’s the perfect setting to enjoy with family, friends, or as a couple.

Complementing the experience is Chiringa, a casual dining space inspired by traditional Andalusian beach bars, offering a vibrant culinary proposal ideal for relaxed moments.

The sports lagoon is the ideal playground for water activities like kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and thrilling electric surfboards such as the Fliteboard Air. Spanning 17,000 square metres, this spectacular emerald-green lake is surrounded by native vegetation, walking paths, and scenic viewpoints with breathtaking views of La Reserva.
