On the 14th September, Sotogrande guests have the opportunity to embark on a sculpting journey. Following the success of his previous workshop last November, renowned Basque sculptor Ariel Elizondo returns to Sotogrande to lead another engaging session. This new, two-hour workshop at The Beach, La Reserva Club offers participants the unique opportunity to create their own sculpture using a collage of stones sourced from around the world, including materials like quartzite, phyllite, slate, travertine, and alabaster.
Under the expert guidance of Elizondo, who brings extensive experience from his professional and family ties to the quarrying industry, attendees will not only learn the craft of stone sculpting but also develop a deeper, more sensitive connection with the material through touch, sight, and sensation.
Elizondo’s impressive background includes collaborations on architectural projects with prominent international architects, such as Jean Nouvel (Torre Agbar), David Chipperfield (the Oval), Santiago Calatrava (Oceanographic), and Frank Gehry (Guggenheim).
This workshop, lasting two hours, will be held on September 14th at 10:30 a.m. For a fee of €33, participants will walk away with their own signed sculpture, ready to be displayed proudly in their homes.
