On October 17th Ana Torres from La Reserva Club Sotogrande travelled to Royal Bled Golf Course in Slovenia to participate in the World Golf Awards. She was delighted to accept the Best Service Award on behalf of all the team and said that she was pleased that the continued focus and hard work by the club had resulted in a nomination in the Best Service category and of course the win.
World of Leading Golf is committed to ensuring supreme quality within its member clubs and regularly tests the clubs on all aspects of their offering. Those clubs that perform the best in these tests are put forward as nominees for the categories of Best Newcomer, Best Overall Impression, Best Course Conditions, Best Culinary Offerings and Best Service. La Reserva de Sotogrande was nominated in two categories – Best Culinary Offerings and Best Service.
We faced stiff competition from the other nominees, including Club de Golf Alcanada, Gorki Golf & Resort, Golfclub Kitzbühel-Schwarzsee and Kölner Golfclub. But all testers unanimously stated that the excellent overall service was particularly noteworthy at La Reserva Club Sotogrande. From details such as “Bags were collected by the Caddie Master from the car and returned to the car at the end of the round.” or in general terms; ”All staff acknowledged my presence, and were polite and friendly.”, the testers felt that La Reserva was a worthy winner of this category.
La Reserva Golf Course is an 18-hole championship course, designed by Cabell B. Robinson and opened in 2003. Included in the World’s Top 100 golf courses and ranked 9th in Spain, it is loved for its wide fairways, large and beautifully maintained greens and gentle yet challenging undulations. All of this has made it a must play course for golfers on the Costa del Sol and we are delighted that the level of service and experience has been recognized by the World of Leading Golf Awards.
