Have you ever dreamed of playing your favourite sport in the company of your idol? This October, many tennis lovers who dreamed of sharing the court with a tennis legend had the opportunity to make their dream come true at La Reserva Club de Sotogrande.
Nicolás Almagro, the former professional tennis player, joined us for an unforgettable day on 21, 22 and 23 October, during which our members and visitors were thrilled as never before on the courts of our Racquet Centre.
An exceptional guest
If we talk about the golden generation of tennis, the name Nicolás Almagro will be familiar to you. He is considered the best one-handed backhand of his time and has 13 ATP awards and a Davis Cup. These achievements have positioned him as one of the best figures in national tennis. At the Racquet Centre of La Reserva Club, we were honoured to have his experience and professional career in a conference that members and visitors will not forget.
Throughout the weekend, Nicolás Almagro shared his experience as a former professional tennis player through enriching talks, and held several tennis clinics where attendees could develop their technique and practice their backhand with one of the most important figures of Spanish tennis.
After an initial briefing, the participants practised their backhand during private session with Nicolás Almagro. On Saturday, individual and private sessions took place during which our tennis players improved their skills with personalised assistance from the Spanish athlete.
To round off a weekend of emotions and sport at La Reserva Club on Sunday, we commented with our guest on the most important sessions. As if that wasn’t enough, a final surprise awaited the attendees: a spectacular exhibition match against Enzo Kamp, a promising young tennis player.
