The Christmas atmosphere is already filling the air as Sotogrande prepares for its most magical festive season yet. With an extensive programme of activities in the Marina, the five-star SO/ Sotogrande Hotel and The Beach La Reserva Club, there is sure to be something for every member of the family to enjoy.
El Mercado de Levante
The elegant Sotogrande marina has be transformed into a festive Christmas Market as El Mercado de Levante offers the opportunity to pick up unique handcrafted gifts from the many stalls featuring local and international artists and artisans.
The yuletide season began on Sunday 4th December, when the doors to Santa’s Grotto opened for children to visit throughout the day. With craft workshops, the toy collection campaign and the Christmas Elves workshop, there will be plenty to keep the littlest members of the family occupied, while grown-ups can get into the Christmas spirit with a wine-tasting class.
The main event was the Big Switch-On, as the lights of the 6m tall real tree were lit, accompanied by the choir of the Sotogrande International School singing traditional Christmas carols.
The festivities continue on the coming Sundays 11th and 18th of December, with a whole host of seasonal activities for all the family. Check the programme at our events section to make sure you don’t miss out.
SO/ Sotogrande and The Beach La Reserva Club
La Reserva Club is already bedecked with elegant festive garlands, all ready and waiting for Santa himself, who will visit at 2 pm on 17th December, arriving in a very surprising fashion!
To keep the little ones – and their parents – busy until he arrives, there will be a cookie workshop at 10 am, or for those with a larger appetite, Brunch on the Beach will be served with some delicious Christmas treats.
SO/ Sotogrande and The Beach La Reserva Club will celebrate Christmas Eve in style, as Brunch at The Beach continues with its delicious seasonal menu. If you’re lucky enough to be dining at Society, try one of their festive cocktails – you may even catch a glimpse of Santa as he drops in before setting off on his very busy night.
It’s a time for family, so relax and enjoy Christmas Day together, starting with Christmas Brunch at The Beach. For those who look forward to a traditional family Sunday Roast, Society at SO/ Sotogrande will be preparing a Christmas Special with all the trimmings.
Can it be New Year’s Eve already? Begin the countdown with Brunch at The Beach, then see the year out in style with an opulent dinner at Society followed by a New Year’s Eve Party at Cortijo, while New Year’s Day gets the 2023 off on the right foot with friends and family at Brunch at The Beach.
