One of the jewels of Sotogrande is its stunning marina, the heart of this area’s sailing community and a wonderful place to eat, drink and shop. Since 2015, the team at Sotogrande SA has been working hard to transform the La Marina/Mercado del Levante area, to the right of the security post. Thanks to their hard work, it is now a desirable area with restaurants, bars, shops and a busy market, where people really want to go. La Marina is buzzing and very popular with residents, tourists and of course the yachting community. Have you discovered it yet?

If you’re planning on visiting for the first time, let us be your guide and help you to make the most of your next visit.

Where is Sotogrande Marina and how do you get there?

Sotogrande Marina is under an hour by car from Marbella and less than half an hour from Gibraltar Airport. It’s easy to get to Sotogrande Marina. Use the motorway AP-7 for the fastest route and take exit 133 towards Torreguadiaro and then follow the signs for “Puerto Sotogrande”. There’s plenty of free parking on the right, just as you enter the marina complex, and also down by the water past the barrier.

When to go?

There’s always plenty of things going on in the marina, with regattas, markets and events throughout the year. On Sunday mornings we have our weekly market, with nearly 70 stalls around the marina selling a wide range of clothes, accessories, jewellery and artisan products. This is a nice time to visit, as our shops and cafes are open then too and the atmosphere is great. Our summer market is very popular and it’s a lovely place to visit at Christmas too. The cafes, restaurants and shops are open all day, so it’s a nice place to visit no matter what time of day. Choose your ideal moment!

Where to eat?

We have eight restaurants to choose from in Sotogrande Marina, offering a wide range of cuisines and styles. Try Bokana for Mediterranean, Don Diego for international fusion, Molino del Conde for rice dishes, La Quinta for Argentinian BBQ and meats and Federal Market for our gourmet market experience.

Where to shop?

Sotogrande Marina is a great place for a bit of retail therapy! As well as our weekly Sunday market, we have a wide range of shops selling everything from fashion and accessories, to gifts and homewear. There is also a beauty centre to pamper and relax you!

Sailing and watersports

Our beautiful marina has 683 berths, from 8 to 50 metres, as well as great facilities for sailors such as a dry dock and workshops for repairs, fuelling area, and of course WC and showers.
